In MSN Virtual Villagers, I have all the technologies fully researched. Now how do I move the boulder?

The population automatically goes to the boulder trying to move it now for the past 24 real hours. Will it move over time itself, like the discovery of the Cemetry and Garden, or should I be doing something?
