thankyou for your wonderful article. i presume that you, too, are a published author/writer in view of the skillfulness of style and content exhibited. while i have not yet had the pleasure of reading mr.mahfouz's work, your comments have certainly generated great interest to do so. and, in response to your "question", certainly with such a huge body of important work surviving, his "spirit" lives on.
