Why are there only Paid Programming on late at night?

i know! i def hate late nites at home because of those damn paid programmings! i think its because it takes money to run tv stations & if 95% of the population is sleeping, then its pointless to run shows so they allow those s to pay for tv time, leaving the late nighters ed out!
